FAQs
What are your clinic hours?
Patient appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 8am-12pm and 2pm-5pm and on Friday from 8am-12pm. Please note, our phones are offline during the lunch hours of 12pm-2pm and after 4pm for administrative work.
Do you take my insurance?
Lockhart Primary Care accepts most major commercial PPO insurance plans and Medicare. If you do not currently have health insurance, you may call our office to discuss pricing for office visits, common testing, and procedures. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. We are contractually obligated with insurance payers to collect co-pays and deductibles at the time of your office visit. Private pay balances must be paid prior to service.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Prior to your first visit, you may download and complete your new patient paperwork on our Resources page. If unable to complete online, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time, and our Patient Care Coordinator will ask you to fill out registration and health history paperwork in the waiting room.
Please bring your insurance card to all of your appointments so that our Patient Care Coordinator can verify any changes or updates to your plan. If your insurance requires a co-pay or deductible, please be prepared to pay this at the time of your visit. Please also bring all medications you are currently taking so these may be reviewed with your provider.
How do I refill my prescriptions?
Please contact your pharmacy before running out of medication to request a refill. They will send us the request electronically to expedite processing. Our providers will review your medical record before prescribing or refilling any medications to ensure that recommended follow up has been completed. Please allow 2 business days for your refill request to be processed. Please also note that long term use of ANY controlled substance requires an office visit every three months for continued refills.
Do you offer telemedicine services?
Telemedicine services allow you to see a provider for an office visit via phone or a computer. Telemedicine visits are offered to patients that do not require in-office exams or diagnostic testing or for those whose symptoms may be infectious, increasing the risk of illness transmission with a face-to-face visit. Most insurance plans cover telemedicine visits, and this is a great way to stay healthy without leaving the comfort of your home! Please note that an in-office visit will be required at least once a year. As with face-to-face visits in the office, we are contractually obligated with insurance payers to collect co-pays and deductibles at the time of your telemedicine visit. Private pay balances must also be paid prior to service.
